Strength for Midlife. Coaching for Real Life.
Fitness doesn’t have to be extreme, complicated, or designed for 25-year-olds. I coach busy working moms in their 40s, 50s, and 60s to build strength, function, and energy—without burnout.
Welcome to the Hourglass Mom community!
Hi, I’m Kerri Howell. I’m a working mom, a woman of faith, and a certified personal trainer and nutrition coach who lives in the same stage of life as the women I work with—navigating the realities of midlife, hormones, schedules, and shifting bodies.
I created Hourglass Mom to be a home base for women who are done with fitness fads and ready for something grounded, intelligent, and sustainable. My approach combines science-backed resistance training, functional mobility, and practical nutrition—without extremes or unnecessary details.
If you’re 45+, in perimenopause or postmenopause, and want to feel stronger, more capable, and more like yourself again—I’m here to help.
What I Believe
- You don’t need to train 5 days a week to get strong.
- You probably need to eat more, not less.
- Strength training is not optional. After 45—it’s essential.
- Mobility, balance, and recovery are just as important as lifting.
- Your workouts should support your life, not control it.
- You deserve coaching that understands your body now—not what it was 20 years ago.
This is a strength-first, hormone-aware, no-BS approach to fitness for the second half of life.
Who I Work With
I coach women in their 40s and beyond who are:
- Tired of cardio culture and endless dieting
- Not sure how to lift or start strength training safely
- Experiencing hormonal shifts, energy drops, or joint pain
- Ready to feel strong, capable, and confident again
Whether you’re brand new to training or trying to get back on track after a long break, we’ll start from where you are—and build from there.
What Coaching Looks Like
- 30-minute strength-based workouts, tailored to your level
- Support with nutrition that fuels midlife metabolism
- Tools to improve mobility, recovery, and functional movement
- A focus on real-life progress—not perfection
